Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

I have been divorced for 3 years and I would like custody of my children from my wife. Her boyfriend has caused my kids to stay concerning things to me. I try to confront my wife but she refuses to acknowledge for respond to my requests. My 7 year old boy has asked me how will he defend himself from the boyfriend when no one is around. My 14 year old daughter has told me the boyfriend has rubbed her shoulder and wouldn't leave her room. She told me she want a restraining order from the boyfriend. I have reported all of these incident to the state and they reply with they need evidence. I want to prevent this "evidence" from occurring.

What would be considered submittable evidence for an investigation?

I assume you are litigating a custody change and for that you do need the services of an attorney. Do you have a custody and support order in the dissolution decree? Do you have knowledge of enough facts that would support a change of a custodial order? The courts do not favor changes in custody agreements unless there is substantial proof of wrong doing.
