Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

I have a hearing on monday February 13th for visitation rights and a hearing based on a motion I filed for a time extension, if the judge were to decide not to grant my motion could the case possibly be continued on that day? The motion I filed was to have more time to respond to the petition that was filed for modifying a decree for custody and support.

Possibly, but there's really no telling what a judge is likely to do on any given day. You'd better be ready to go forward if you don't get more time.
