Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

IN the matter of child custody when neither party has been granted custoy in any stae nor have divorce papers been filed does one parents have more rights then the other as to placement of the child/children if not how does one prevent one parent from taking the child children away from there current place of residence and what actions should be taken?

If there is no custody and support order in place, each parent's rights are equal. The action to be taken is to get an attorney, get a petition on file, and get a court order in place. You can't sit on this.
