If both parents agree can one or the other be released from financial and all other
responsibilites of the child is there a name for this proceedure

The answer is, it's not that simple. The government doesn't want people to avoid their obligation to support their offspring. It would require one parent filing a petition under chapter 600A of the code of Iowa to get a parent released from their support obligation. |
