Legal Question in Health Care Law in Iowa

I went to a doctor and had a procedure done . Before hand I called 2 times to see what it would cost and was quoted 900.00 but if paid in full that day I would get a 20% dicount . I made to appointment and went for the concaltation , after conciltation , I again asked about the price as I only had so much money . was told the same as before . I went in the next day and had the procedure done , after , I paid the bill in full . Three days later the doctors office called me and told me I still owed 300.00 I was told they had made a mistake when they wrote my bill up because a nurse had made a mistake . My question is is this legal and do I have to pay the differance ? Thanks for your time .
