Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

Have issue in Iowa on family farm that had a provision for the next descendants would receive the property equally:

In this.case the farm went from the parents to their (2)children followed by heirs of those children, the son had 1 child, leading to his child having 2 children.

We were recently notified that besides the aunt having given one of her brother's child all the farm his brother's name was listed on the abstract without our knowledge. Does this mean we now a vested interest in this property will the quiet title action ensure he will remain on it.

More information would be needed. What do you mean, the farm had a provision? Was there a will, a trust? Who has died, anyone of the people mentioned? Being listed in the abstract can mean a number of different things. Could be a title holder, a mortgagee, an error. I would suggest you consult with a real estate or probate attorney in your area to give you specific advice.
