Legal Question in Workers Comp in Iowa

My mom got hurt at work and it was a serious injury showing that shes 100% disabled person. Her last and final court was 2007 and the judge gave her a worker compensation payments for as long as she lives and also gave her medical for life for her injury to be treated, and medications. The lawyer that was working for the company where my mom got hurt is still contacting my mom all the time and sending her to do more and more testing even tho all the tests and mri and all that stuff showed that my mother is 100% disabled... Does he have right to keep on bothering my mom and keep on asking for things like that since the case is closed and done with.....???? Thank you so much...

In Iowa the lawyer does not have the right to talk directly with your Mom if she continues to be represented; the employer has the right to send her for treatment, so long as it is reasonable. If on the other hand they are simply trying to hassle your Mom, then no. Is she still represented by an attorney? Is your Mom's previous attorney still getting paid? If so why isn't he/she doing something for your Mom? If not why not? If yes, then what are they saying is the solution?
