Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Kansas

What is the statue of limitation on a medical debt incurred in the state of Kansas? Hope that is the right term. Want to know when a debt is no longer valid for collection from Small Claims.

Contracts in writing have a five year statute of limitation in Kansas. However, a statute may be tolled, or stayed, depending on actions of the debtor. Have you paid anything on this debt in the last five years? Is it your debt or another's? To determine if you have defenses, I need more information. Feel free to contact me if you want to look into this.
