Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Kansas

What is the statute of limitations for a medical bill? I have been sued in Kansas for a bill that is 3 years old which I have never seen. So far, I have been unable to convince them to give me a copy of a bill. Shouldnt they be required to substantiate the debt?

Generally, a medical bill can be sued on with five years of treatment or last payment. Your case seems to be well within that period. If I make a formal written request for documents, rallying to treatment, Billings and payments, in proper form, you should be able to get what you seek. You woo have to make a written certification of service of the requests to the plaintiff (or their attorney) and file it with the court
