Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas

A friend stole my deer riffle and saddle and sold them for 1500.00, he has his camper parked at my house and would give it to me for the items he took and sold. He now says he never gave it to me. I am not giving it to him and kicked him off my property. Is this legal?

You and your "friend" apparently are withholding the other's property. One of you may end up using the other. The one that gets sued will probably countersued for their property. Or, one of you will call the police, which isbwhat you should have done. Yes, withholding property belonging to another is a crime. If you honestly believe that he gave you the trailer, not giving it back isn't a crime. (Hopefully, you can prove the gift through evidence) If the property (meaning the land) is yours, you can tell people to leave. So making the other person leave probably broke no laws, as long as you didn't use unreasonable force.

Good luck and pick better friends.
