Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
If I stole $1400 dollars from a former employer what is the most likely punishment if I have no priors what so ever

Based upon the few facts you described, you could do two years on a felony conviction.. If you make restitution (pay the money back) you could get probation only. If the theft involved using the mail or telephone System you could do longer prison time on a federal conviction.
