Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Kansas

My wife is 48 years old and been with her company for 29 years. She has 6 years until she reaches the early retirement age and now is being demoted to an entry level possition. Her retirement is based on her last 5 years salary. In the state of Kansas what are her chances of winning an age discrimination case? She had just received her yearly review and had met the expectations of her superiors and received a raise for the coming year and a portion of the yearly bonus for meeting the goals.

The bare facts that you described, seem top indicate that the employer is impermissably altering yrou wife's work record. She shoudl consutl direclty with an employment law attorney in your area. That attorney will need to ask her many follow-up questions and see various documents to determine if she has a viable claim. Many such attorneys offer a free or low cost initial consultation. She should not wait, as her time to make claim is limited and short.

Good luck
