Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

I have child support garnished from my paycheck, which I prefer, but my employer has begun to take it out of my gas reimbursement check as well. Can they do that?

If the employer was served both wage and nonwage garnishments, then taking money grok both checks is proper. If they were not served a nonwage garnishment, then taking money grok the gas reimbursement check may be improper. You can check with the Court, to see which was served. But, be careful. The employer might find out that 100% of the reimbursement is to be paid toward the garnishment, and not the lesser percentage, like the wage garnishment.

Good luck
