if your husband has a child outside of your marriage does the wife have to contribute to the child support of that child?

In Kansas, the wife's income will not be counted when calculating the child support to be paid by Husband for the child born outside the marriage. The Wife has no legal obligation to support a child that is not her child.

The flip side of your Queston is that the financial needs of the new spouse would nit lessen the fathers obligation to provide support for his child of a previous marriage. Do, in some the support obligation will cost the second spouse, in that more of her income will have to go towards the expenses of the present family. If he fails to stay current on his support obligation, her wages will not be garnished, but their bank account might.
