Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

I received residential custody of my son last year and was ordered to provide medical insurance. My ex wife was ordered to pay child support and help with bills 30.7%. She has not paid or help pay anything. Now she is signing legal forms for rodeos to include my insurance information. She never consulted me or asked permission to sign a release. Since it is my insurance and she is not listed on it, does she have the right to sign those forms without written consent or permission.? What can I do? I do not want him to get hurt, yet I know he wants to do the rodeo, but I do not want the bill if I did not sign the form.

Based upon what little information you provided, you are responsible for paying the insurance and the out of pocket expense, as far as the medical provider's claims, should he get injured at the rodeo. The rodeo folks are not part of your custody or the expense Court case. Unless you inform them that you are the parent with authority, and that you do not waive your right to due them should he get hurt, they can assume that the mother has authority to waive on behalf if the father. Many if not most rodeo participants get injured. Until you disclaimer the waiver, you may be barred from seeking vomoenofrom the rodeo folks for their negligence in your adons probably injury. I u can seek a suit for compensation from the mother for the unpaid 30% of of the bills you've already paid, and for the unpaid child support. Or, you can seek a finding of cintempt in the case wherein she was ordered to pay.

You should consult directly with a civil practice attorney, in yourr area, to determine your best option.

Good luck
