Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

My ex is taking me to court to contest the relocation of our children to another state. I don't have any family in KS and the state where I am moving to and got a job transfer to, I do have family. I been been the one to go to all doctor/dental appointments, parent-teacher conferences, and I changed my work schedule 2 years ago so we could both save money in child care. They are almost 12 years old. A yr ago, my sons expressed concern that when he went out of town with their father, they were left alone in a hotel long enough to watch 2 movies and I video recorded the conversation without him knowing. He was scared and left the room to go looking for him. He got mad at my other son and buzzed sections of his hair off. They ask sometimes to not even go over there. Can I use the video in court and when is the age that they can legally have some say in where they want to live?

If you are the custodial parent, you need only.provide the.mend for.the.children to continue visitation with the other parent. If you do that, the Judge will not.likely prevent you from taking the children with you, when you move for the new job.

If visitation with the father cannot likely.be continued, the.Judge will no forbid you fromoving. They.might say the kids can live with Dad, and you pay.him support, and have regular.visits with the children

Good luck
