Legal Question in Employment Law in Kansas

I put in my 2 weeks notice at my job yesterday and they called me this morning and told me not to bother coming in for any more of my shifts. I need these wages. Have they essentially fired me? Would this be considered retaliatory firing? I am in Kansas.

Unless you are working under an employment contract, an employer is not required to give you anymore hours after you give notice.

Good luck on your new job.
