Legal Question in Personal Injury in Kansas

Auto Accident

A friend of mine who was living with me at the time and was listed on my insurance policy so she could drive my vehicle, had an accident almost 2 years ago and now the driver of the other car is going to sue the insurance company and my friend. My question is this, since I was the owner of the vehicle can I be named in this suit even though I was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident and have no personal knowledge about what occurred to cause the accident? My only conection to any of it is that I owned the vehicle she was driving.

Re: Auto Accident

Probably can't be sued, at least successfully. An owner of a car has a very limited duty when someone else was driving it; so as long as she was a licensed driver and you had no reason to think she was habitually reckless, you probably won't be sued, and if you are you probably will win.
