Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas

My property in Kansas was sold at sheriff's tax sale with no redemption. However I answered tax warrant with registered letter explaining my poverty. How do I get an injunction to stop eviction?

To stop the eviction, you'll need to file a motion with your District Court. You may need to attack the Order of Sale to convince the Judge to Halt the eviction. Unfortunately, just sending a letter that states you're impoverished, may not be sufficient grounds. You should ask friends and relatives to help you hire an attorney, or contract legal aid very soon. It would help, if your friends and family can help you satisfy the tax burden. Since you've waited until after the Sale to handle this through the Court, the odds may not be in your favor.

Good luck
