How do you transfer ownership of your home, upon your death, to someone else? Through a quit claim deed or a beneficiary deed? Can only a lawyer do this?

You can pass property several ways, quit claim deed with a lifetime tenancy reserve, beneficiary deed, will, trust, etc. There are tax and health benefit implications with most of them. If someone wants to pass real property at death, they should consult directly with a probate or estate planning attorney in their area.

Good luck
