The total of fine and court costs for pleading guilty depends upon who wrote the ticket; sheriff, patrolman or officer, and what forum you are in. You will also take a hit n your license for the moving violation conviction. You might be do mush better to have an attorney represetn you in this matter. You may not get a moving violation on your record at all.

Good luck

In Kansas, Exhibition of Speed is an unclassified misdemeanor. This means it can carry up to 30 days in jail and a $500.00 fine. It can also have a negative impact on your driving record and on your cost of insurance. I would suggest you do not plead guilty and that you talk to an attorney about your options. In some Kansas jurisdictions, it may be possible to enter into a plea agreement to avoid a conviction. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss your options.
