Legal Question in Traffic Law in Kansas

I wanted to sign a complaint against a person speeding and driving recklessly, but was told I couldn't because the city proscecutor won't proscecute a citizen signed ticket. Are my rights being violated?

A citizan does nto hav ea right to demand criminal prosecution of another citizen. We allow prosecutorial discretion to decide who and when to prosecute. If you do nto kike the choices yrou prosecutor makes, then work toward their firing or the elction of someone else to theri position. But, you do have the right to make the formal complaint. If the police officer (or agent of the force) refused to take your complaint, then you may have an issue thqat the attorney general's office shoudl know about.

Good luck
