Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kansas

My father passed away almost 2 years ago and we (my sister and I) don't think he had a will. We checked at the court house and they didnt have one on file. His wife sold all of his property and all of his belongings. We believe that we are entitled to some of the money. What is the law pertaining to this.

If his surviving spouse is not your mother, you ate probably entitled to a portion of his estate. Since she sold some of the assets of his estate, it may be difficult proving what money was gotten for what.

You and your sister need to consult directly with a probate attorney, in your area, very. You have a limited time in which to open an estate or make a small estate claim.

Good luck
