Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

child custody

My daugther just had a baby and she is in prison. The one who thinks he is the father wants to get a DNA test done now because he wants to do an open adoption. Because he is just 18 and she is 26. And her other 2 children was taken from her because of neglect. And she has up to 5 year in prison . Plus he fears that when she gets out and if she gets to keep the baby then she will start doing the things she done the the other children. So how do we get DNA and can he ask the court to allow the baby to be adoped.

Re: child custody

You can petition the court to order a paternity test. Once this is accomplished, you would need to initiate an adoption proceeding. If you need further assistance with this matter, please feel free to call me.
