Contract Agreement

I have signed a non-compete with Employment Plus, It states i cannot work for another staffing company in the shelbyville area, however i only worked for them for 2 months and i was not a manager or a sales person. Another company wants to hire me. I live in that area, i have applied at other places, however my work experience is in the area of staffing, and i cannot find a job other than in that field. Can they hold me to that contract and prevent me from working in my field of experteese?

Without knowing specifically what the agreement says, your question cannot be answered adequately. However, in some instances, courts have held a noncompete agreement to be unconscionable. It would be worth asking an attorney in your area to look over the agreement and advise you accordingly.
