I took my dog to pet smart to have his nails cut.he a small chihuahua I told the lady I have to hold him while she cuts them,she told me no I cant hold them I told her to put a muso on him she said no that they no how to handle dogs,well when she took my dog he put up a fight then she picked him up and try to cut his nails and he bit her not bad but they made a big thing about it and they put my dog in a pound for 10 days..and we have to pay for this...what can I do

Generally speaking, dog owners can be held liable when their dog bites someone. It is important to review all state, county, and city statutes and ordinances containing provisions regarding pets, public nuisance, vicious animal, and dangerous animal.
