Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky

Possesion of marijuana and paraphenalia

I was arrested as a passanger in a car for possesion of marijuana and paraphenalia. I had smoked pot earlier that evening and the odor was detected on me, but my brother and I did not knowingly have anything in the car. Upon search the police found a hollow barrel of an ink pen with a ''bowl'' made of aluminum foil with resin in it and questioned us about it. It was from a long time ago a friend had left it under the seat. I was arrested. I'm out on $500 bail and have now read police report that states a ''blunt'' was found with a green leafy substance in it. ?????

The police never mentioned or showed us anything like that that they had found in the search. I am very confused and worried. I have no previous record. What should I do? What kind of sentence am I looking at?

Thank you for any help you can give. Court date is next week.

Re: Possesion of marijuana and paraphenalia

You want to try to get out of the paraphernalia - that's a 30 day jail sentence potential, probation and all. The possession is just a $100 fine, but both carry an automatic license suspension of 6 months.
