Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

my baby father wants to change the last name of our baby when we are together he fine with the last name but when we split up he wants to change it. the reason he gave on the court papers is he wants the baby to have his legal name. can a judge make me change the last name for this reason only?

That's pretty misogynist, isn't it? To think the baby must have the father's surname? Tell the Court you object to the name change; the child has his name already, there is no valid reason to change it.
