Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

I have court order child support and can no longer pay that amount due to a significant decrease in my income. I spoke with my ex-wife about this and she has agreed to a modification. Can we type up a memorandum and present that to the courthouse to be signed by the judge with our notarized signatures or do we actually have to appear in front of the judge for the modification?

You should be able to present it as an agreed order and the judge would sign off on it without you appearing, but i would ask the court clerk in your county what needs to be done.
