Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Medical Expenses

My husband pays child support monthly and we provide health insurance for this child, her mother took her to a dentist and gave his name and address for the bill, is he responsible for this? There is no court order for this, he is only supposed to be required to provide the insurance. Thank you.

Re: Medical Expenses

Normally, most courts provide that medical expenses not provided by insurance are shared by both parties. It depends on the Court and what was anticipated. Review the support order and seek advice from your husband's attorney in the divorce case. The mother could have just assumed that the insurance covered the dental work. Do not go ask the Circuit Clerk. go to the attorney or an attorney. Your husband may have to go back to court to have this taken care of. Do not let it get out of hand.
