Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Mortgage ownership in divorce

My son is divorced and his ex got the house. The mortgage is still in both names and she won't let him take his name off. He wants to buy a house and can't because of this. The judge has backed up the ex in this decision. Is there anything he can do?

Re: Mortgage ownership in divorce

I'm afraid there just is not enough background information to speculate as to why a judge would rule that way. If he has funds enough to think of purchasing a house, perhaps it would be a wise investment to take all his court documents to a family lawyer and consult. There may be specific facts in his situation that could help figure out what he should do next.
