I have filed a claim against a homeowners policy due to a back injury suffered on their property. The insurance company is now asking for psychological information about me. It should have nothing to do with my physical injury. Is it legal for them to ask for that information?

If you want to be paid for the injuries, you must comply with (assuming you are not going to sue the actual owners), the terms of the insurance policy. Get a copy of it and read it. This will answer your questions.
