Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kentucky

Will

My wife and Ieach have kids. We each have wills. If I die before my wife, can I assure that my kids get my share of the equity in our home we have purchased together?

Re: Will

There is a way to accomplish what you are asking about, but it probably will not be accomplished with a will only. If your house deed has a right of survivorship clause, it passes in entirety to your wife. Another common issue is when spouses have "mirror" wills leaving everything to each other. The problem is, if you die first and everything goes to your wife, she can then change her will and leave everything to someone else.
