work wont accomadate injury

i hurt my right shoulder in a possibly non- work related injury, a week later I hurt my left sholder at work. They say they will accomodate. The work injury but not the non- work injury. Can they do this?

The non-work related injury would more likely fall under the American's with Disabilities Act. Many court rulings have tended to make it difficult to qualify for accomodations under the ADA and so the answer would depend very much on the specific facts of your situation and the extent of the non-work related injury. If it is a substantial injury, it would be best to see a lawyer with ADA experience.
