Re: The love of my Life!

If he really didn't do it, he needs to fight the charges. But don't be surprised when he pleads guilty: that will be the day you find out he lied to you.

100% of people in jail have a BS story about how innocent they really are.

Certainly you need to speak with an attorney. This charge is very serious. The likelihood of conviction will hinge on the credibility of the alleged victim and/or any other corroborating witnesses. Feel free to contact me with any further information at the email below.

Re: The love of my Life!

I, personally, so not feel there is a more serious charge than that which you mention your boyfriend is accused of. Prison....Register for lifetime as a sex offender....Being in the Megan's Law registry...It just get's worse and worse. As a former Deputy District Attorney and Certified Criminal Law Attorney, my office has handled hundreds of these types of charges. You should most definitely talk to a qualified attorney. You can reach me at my website at www.wallinlaw.com. I am sorry for your predicament.

Re: The love of my Life!

There is only one person who can help your boyfriend - the lawyer who will become familiar with all the facts of his case and who will represent him. I recommend you call at least a couple of potential lawyers to see who might be the best for his case. If he cannot afford private counsel, he will have the right to have a public defender appointed for him.

Re: The love of my Life!

Since the charge is in Louisiana, you need a good defense attorney in the Parish that the charge will be tried. You do not say where that is so no further assistance can be recommended.

What do you do?? Unless you are an attorney, nothing. If you're not, hire one for him.

What do you do?? Unless you are an attorney, nothing. If you're not, hire one for him. The police and DA have both already reviewed the evidence and determined that they can prove he did it. That's why they filed charges. Get him a good attorney. He needs one.
