Dear Law Guru Friend,

The Statute of Limitations on any particular

crime depends on a lot of facts, many of which

are not presented in your question. Feel free to

call me and discuss this with me--at no charge--and

I will gather more facts and attempt to answer

your question, even if it requires researching the

Louisiana statutes pertaining to Limitations in

criminal cases. Forgery is one criminal offense

and Theft by Fraud another, and each criminal offense has

a statute of limitations based on the particular

facts and circumstances pertaining to that particular

case and offense. There is no charge for my help.

E-mail me your name and phone number and the

parish where the offense or offenses happened, and

I will get back with you by e-mail and/or phone.

Sincerely,

Hardy Parkerson, J.D.
