Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I am 23, single mom, joint custody with 3 year old sons dad, i live in Louisiana, he lives in texas, i am the custodial parent. I am getting married and will be moving to kansas where my fiance has a permanent residence and job, and will be getting married May 11th, 2013. I sent my sons dad a 30 day certified letter stating we were moving to kansas, why we are moving, and that he has 30 days to object the move, and that nothing changes with the current custody agreement as far as visitation and child support, only our address will be different. My question is, what if I need to leave louisiana before 30 days are up to go to a job interview, and to arrange things for my wedding, can I legally leave Louisiana before 30 days are up? Thank you for your help.

You can legally leave. What if you wanted to take a vacation to Disney World in Florida? Do you think you cannot visit that state? Of course you can go there. You just cannot MOVE to Kansas without the dad's permission or his non-objection. So go, just do not move there until he fails to respond and/or you get court approval.
