Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

child support

in our community property

settlement I am responsible for 40%

of our home (which is on the market

and empty) I have not be able to pay

my part last month of this. I have a

home in Tx that the boys and I live

in. He is now refussing to pay

childsuppot cause I have not paid a

community bill. Can he do this? I

know I owe the bill but I will have to

let the bank have the house. I have

to take care of the house where the

children live and only have so many

dollars every month I have offered

to give him the house no stings. He

wont take it and when I asked about

my child support he said where is my

money. What should I do?

Re: child support

Wow! Tough question.

If he was ordered to pay child support, that is totally different from the mortgage payment.

You really need to sit down with an attorney and talk about your options.

I recommend you call your old attorney.

If you did not have one, then you might call me or PATRICIA BUSHMAN at 713.807.9405.

Happy 4th of July!
