Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Child support/reduction of

I am due in court this morning and do not have an attorney representing me for a reduction of child support. Should I have legal representation concerning this issue, and, if so, should I and how would I ask for a continuance or postponement if I intent to retain an attorney for assistance?

Ask the judge to continue the matter so you can get a lawyer. Under current circumstances any person in a hurricane affected area should get a little consideration since recent times have not been ideal for shopping for lawyers.
