can someone take a page of my personal diary/journal and use it legally against me or a member of my family?

Possibly. It depends on how they got the information, if they can prove you wrote it and if it is relevant to the discussion.

It deopends on how you mean "use it". It might be relevant evidence in a legal proceeding if properly authenticated in a court proceeding.

I agree with Andrew and also in a criminal matter the evidence may be disallowed if illegally obtained.
