It depends on a lot of different factors. Using you relationship may not even be the fastest way. Don't rely on message boards. Spend the money and hire a lawyer.

If you are already married & he is living abroad, and if you are a U.S. citizen, then you can petition for your husband via Form I-130. He will then need to Consular Process his immigrant visa.
