Legal Question in Product Liability in Louisiana

Hello have you heard of any lawsuits, or recalls on surgical mask or the lma surgical mask,or the adult mask for surgery , administered by the anestheseologsit used during surgery, causing left or right side vocal cord paralysis... if you have please contact me i had surgery in september 7 2007 and i came out of surgery with a left paralysed vocal cord. all test done on me in january 6th- 2008 showed a left paralysed vocal cord by the ent putting a camera tube down to the vocal cords. i had mri,cat scan of head, throat, chest, and body no blood clots, no cancer, no stroke, no heart attack,, all showed nothing...i see on tv where the attorney's are saying if you have this or that and suffered loss or been damaged by a certain medical device or from pills or hospital negligence or asbastos, call this number and see if you have a claim all i am asking for is an answer maybe i was just one of the 25% in the state of louisiana who this happened to. i was told by a nurse practioner that 25% of people come out of surgery in louisiana with a paralysed vocal cord 25% that is a lot of people. don't you think???? please help me if you can and if you can't thank you very much for your time.

Medical Malpractice claims are preempted 3 years after the event. Since you mentioned the surgical mask, you may be looking at a products liability claim. If so, I have not heard of any lawsuits involving any of the equipment you wrote about. And if 25% of any group are caused the type injuries you discribe the equipment you mention would no longer be used because they would have been sued out of business.
