Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

land squatter

We have a large piece of land undivided between 8 children. One of those children has decided to set up a house on one of those lots without the permission of the other 7. Do we have recourse and what is the time limit before we can no longer act? The reason it is undivided is nobody can agree on who gets what piece.

Re: land squatter

Since every one of the eight owns all of the property equally I suggest that one of you file a suit for partition. Arguably all eight own the house the one sibling builds. I cannot imagine a lender lending him (or her)the money to build this house.
