Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My paerents live in Louisiana. They have 4 natural childen and an adopted daughter. The adopted daughter has 6 childen She abandoned all of the children except the youngest one about two years ago. My mom and dad have raised and cared for the five of them ever since. Thier mother rarely calls to speak with them. My parents do not want the adopted daughter to receive any part of the estate in the event of thier death, but they want the six childen cared for. Is there a method to make this happen? A trust, perhaps, set up with 1/5th of the estate proceeds for the six children with stipulations on age, education etc.? Please advise.
