is my Virginia will and durable power of attorney good in Louisiana?

As long as they are valid in the state where they were originally executed, they are also valid in Louisiana.

As you may know, Louisiana has some unusual laws, such as forced heirship, and unlike Virginia, it is a community property state.

It might be a good idea to have a Louisiana lawyer review the documents.
