Legal Question in Workers Comp in Maine

I was hurt at a job and i no longer work there and am still seeing doctors does that employer still have to cover things

The short answer is "yes".hopefully you already have an open workers compensation file with your former employer. If not, that is your first step. If the workers compensation insurance carrier has not closed your file, then I suggest you contact the insurance adjuster assigned to your case and discuss continued medical payments. If you still have issues, please feel free to call me. Cases get closed 2 years following the last date of treatment, and you may be barred from pursuing workers compensation insurance after that. You may also have a claim separate from workers compensation if your injury was caused by someone other than your employer or an agent of your employer. If so, you have 6 years from the date of your initial injury in order to bring that claim. You would have to call me to discuss that as well. Thank you for your inquiry.
