Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

a debt collector was awarded a judgement against me without my knowledge of a court case. they said i was served at an address tht I haven't lived at in over 7 years. since i was not served and they told the court I was, what can I do. Is it considered fraud that they told the court I was served an actually wasn't?

You need to try to reopen the case and seek a relief from judgment because of the Plaintiff's failure to serve.

This needs to be done right away. Depending on the size of the case, you might want to hire an attorney. If you decide to hire an attorney, I am available to discuss the matter with your further.
