Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Maryland

Applied for a job with about twice the required experience. After a week request an update on the status of the application received a reply saying: unfortunately you do not possess the financial services industry experience this position requires.

Then I replied reiterating my relevant experience and got no reply.

The hiring officer and 4 of the other 6 employees are female. The only male is the president of the company.

So my question actually questions are this: What to do next? Contact the president for an explanation? Is there a possible of Gender Discrimination in this instance? If so, is it worth pursuing legal action? Considering court costs and legal fees?

My advice is to let it go. Move on to the next job posting.

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
