Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I have an active child support case and my sons father owes back support of 14k, he was injured on his job and has permanent injuries and they fired him so he has an attorny and suing his job and working on workmans comp case. I was told by him and my local child support case that they will be intercepting his money. My question is how much of that lump sum will I get in the state of Maryland

It depends on how much the father recovers (if any!). It depends on how long it take the father to recover and how much interest has accrued on the 14k in back support you are owed. It depends on how much other income the father receives (for instance, although he is out of work, is he collecting unemployment? disability/social security?) and how much money he needs to live.

Best of luck.*******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
