Can you live with your girlfriend after separation in Maryland ?

The law does not dictate where one can live. However, adultery is still illegal in this state. If one is married (whether or not separated) it remains illegal to commit adultery by engaging in sexual activity with persons other than one's spouse. Separation is not the same as divorce. After divorce, the marriage is terminated in the eyes of the law and one is as free under law to engage in other relationships as s/he would be if they were never married.

That being said, criminal prosecutions for adultery are exceedingly rare in our day.
